After a lot of silence in my blog, sad that I couldn’t keep consistency but at the same time I’m happy that I didn’t stress myself to write, I just write when I find the right time and extra energy.

This blog covers my travel adventures through conferences, my new learnings, new assignement (see the last section) and other notes describing my October 2023.

Let’s start with Testing Conferences

The month started with a trip to Budapest to HUSTEF conference where I run a workshop with my friend Andrea and I did a conference about my first time experience as a Quality Coach where I mentioned the challenges I faced and the new learnings I had, also different exercices that I added into my toolbox.

My slides are available via this link : https://speakerdeck.com/emna__ayadi/discover-the-quality-coach-role-and-their-toolbox

Below more pictures and a summary of what I learnt from the conference :

I was a bit nervous during the talk because there were a big timer in front of me, I’m not used to it and I didn’t verify in advance that it’s 20 min and not the classical 30 min, so I managed to squeez it. I learnt a new thing to better manage time and it’s ok if I need to skip few slides if the story still coherent.

The week after, I gave the same talk at ParisTestConf and it was in French and I had 40 min πŸ™‚ so I added more examples to my story and I think it went even better πŸ™‚

Here’s the link of the french version of my slides: https://speakerdeck.com/emna__ayadi/decouvrir-le-role-du-quality-coach-et-sa-boite-a-outils

Next month trip : Oslo (yes, again same year πŸ˜€ !)

This time it’s TESTEXPO https://www.sogeti.no/utforsk/kalender/testexpo-2023/ (it’s free, feel free to register)

It’s a busy conference, I’ll participate with 3 things:

  • Workshop: Lego for Quality Engineering
  • Talk: Quality Coaching challenges and lessons learned
  • Booth: The Quality Improvement Game

And talking about Oslo, check out my funny story using transport in Oslo last september https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7125028652412547072/

And also again to Les Fontaines QX Day France organised by my company : https://event.inwink.com/sogeti-qx-day-2023

Training on Facilitation Techniques

I had the chance to attend into the TT training (Train the Trainer) within capgemini, where I learn new facilitation techniques and more things that could improve the way you give a training onsite or remotely.

We had lot of fun with all the group, we did many exercices one of them is: everyone present his passion in 5 min and then he receive feedback on what went well, what could be improved.

All those debriefs we had make the training more efficient and we learnt how to avoid bad practices as well and how to engage the audience.

My favorite Swags of the month

I had the chance to receive a swag from the Rugby World Cup although I missed the opportunity to attend matches that happened in all over France, even in Lille !

And the funniest coffee cap I had, defining a consultant as a machine that transfers coffee into solutions

My Birthday Celebration and the Graduation of my friend Asma

I celebrated my 32 birthday ! Grateful for my friends who made this celebration unforgettable !

And which make it even more special, a dear tunisian friend in Lille, celebrated her PhD. graduation on the same day at the faculty of Pharmacy.

NEW Assignment RTE at AirFrance via Sogeti (Organizing Testing while Moving To the Cloud)

In this busy month I also started a new exciting assignment as RTE (Release Train Engineer) regarding the MoveToCloud and how to organizing testing.

I’m grateful for Community members who shared their return of experience with me, in particular Jesper Ottosen who shared valuable blog post and opinions about his experience

Here’s my request for help that I published in few communities
I wonder if anyone’s of you worked on a testing strategy that address topics on how to move to cloud and what’s different from on-premises ?
I didn’t work in such context before, so I’m searching for information what are the challenges when moving to cloud ? what impacts can we have on the testing strategy ?
The areas I’ll be interested in the most are :
πŸ”Ή Tools/ Test Automation: exploring how to verify they can still work in the cloud? is it preferable to converge to the same tooling set between various teams ? any difference on choosing which ones should be the standards ?
πŸ”Ή Test Environments: how many environments should be considered ? for how long should we keep history of all the history, logs continuously ? or at which frequency can we clear it ?
πŸ”Ή E2e Testing: what are the differences ? how to reduce maintenance cost?
πŸ”Ή Test Data Management: what are possible risks ? how to ensure data anonymization process is reliable?

πŸ™ Any extra idea, video, blog to read would be very appreciated 😊
